Fees & Accomodation


Students who have received a confirmation of their participation are required to pay all relevant fees and costs for room & board by December 1.

The withdrawal policy for students who enroll in the Winter School can be found under section 2.6 of our SFS Payment and Financial Aid Policies.

For the duration of your stay in Germany we recommend taking out a health and accident insurance policy as well as a third party insurance. Jacobs University will not be liable for any costs arising in the case of either sickness or injury. Winter school fees do not include any insurance coverage


Accomodation 2018


Winter School participants have the opportunity to stay on campus in one of our four residential colleges which are situated in close proximity to the lecture halls (see campus map).

Campus Accomodation includes:

  • Modern single rooms in the residential colleges (have a look at College Nordmetall)
  • Fully-equipped recreation center, common and multimedia rooms
  • In-college cafeteria with full board (range of warm and cold dishes, vegetarian options)
  • 24 hour security
